Pyrrha Nikos

Pyrrha Nikos, the Pride of Mistral, met her untimely demise during the Fall of Beacon at the hands of one Cinder Fall. However, in the last moments before she drew her last breath, she was "rescued" by Salem, her body brought back to Evernight. There, she was revived and reborn, given a new life by the Grimm Majesty. Pyrrha works now as a champion fighter for Salem, enacting Her will wherever and whenever She wishes it so. Up until now, most of her time was spent training to get her strength back. Currently, she resides at Evernight with the rest of the faction. Pyrrha's revival was kept a secret to those outside of the faction. Seeing her alive again would likely come as a shock.

Physical

To the casual viewer, Pyrrha looks just about the same as she did prior to her pseudo-death. However, those with keen eyes would be able to note a few things. Firstly, her skin is paler than it was before, and if/when she gets especially angry, deep red veins pulse against her skin. She's lost a bit of her muscle mass, but has retained her strength and skill. Her once-bright harlequin green eyes are now a duller, darker shade, with an almost hollowness behind them. Her hair is nowhere near as healthy or smooth as it once was. Rather than sporting her iconic ponytail, Pyrrha often opts for leaving it down, or tied back into a long braid. She's replaced her armor with a more fitting and practical set for her current duties, black armor trimmed in crimson.

Skills & Abilities

Pyrrha retains many of her abilities in canon, and has been outfitted with some slick new ones, as well.

Semblance

POLARITY allows Pyrrha control over various metals via magnetism. Her use of it is typically sparing and very subtle, just enough to turn the tides of battle in her favor.

Weaponry

Pyrrha retains Miló and Akoúo̱, though both items have gone through significant upgrades and design changes. Miló, her javelin (that is also a sword, and also a rifle) now can collapse into itself far enough to act as a dagger, and Akoúo̱, her shield, can expand up to twice its size.

Grimm Soul

Pyrrha's main upgrade after being revived is the ability to bisect nearly any part of her body at nearly any given time, with little to no difficulty. For example, she can deftly avoid direct attacks by splitting her arm off at the joints – leaving only a mist of grimm smoke in the air connecting the limb to her body. (think Monsoon from Metal Gear, although instead of electro charges holding her body together, it's Grimm.)

Non-Combat Skills

Pyrrha is physically very strong, capable of doing lots of heavy lifting with little to no strain. She is also very patient. Thanks to her grimm soul, she can also communicate with Grimm. Note that she can't control them like Salem can. She can communicate and ask them for help, but it's up to the Grimm to listen or obey her.

Weaknesses

Perhaps the biggest change Pyrrha has gone through is her newfound arrogance. The nickname 'invincible girl' has gone to her head, and she is prone to overestimating her own skill.

History

Background

Prior to enrolling at Beacon Academy, Pyrrha Nikos was already a household name. She made quite the name for herself as the Mistral Regional Tournament champion for four years in a row at such a young age. She performed excellently during her time at Beacon as well, top of her classes in both combat and academics. Her destiny was cut short during the Vytal Festival during a deadly encounter with Cinder Fall.
